Laws do not exist except by relation to the subject in which the phenomena inhere,
in so far as it possesses understanding,
just as phenomena have no existence except by relation to the same existing subject in so far as it has senses.
法則は、現象が内在している主観との関係によってのみ、
その主観が知性を有する限りにおいて存在するのである。
それはちょうど、現象は、その主観が感覚を有する限りにおいて、同じ現存する主観との関係によってのみ存在するのと同じように。
