カント『純粋理性批判』の文章の英訳（Translator: J. M. D. Meiklejohn）のpipitによる日訳です。
[16] All general conceptions ー as such ー depend, for their existence, on the analytical unity of consciousness.
すべての一般的な概念（の存在）は、意識の分析的統一の意識に依存している。
For example, when I think of red in general, I thereby think to myself a property which (as a characteristic mark) can be discovered somewhere, or can be united with other representations;
例えば私が一般的に赤を考える時、
わたしは何かの中に（特徴として）発見できる性質を考えるか、
他の表象と結び付けられるような性質を考えるかである。
consequently, it is only by means of a forethought possible synthetical unity that I can think to myself the analytical.
したがって、あらかじめ可能な総合的統一によってのみ、私は自分自身で分析的に考えることがかなうのである。
